RAD UNTUK KLINIK: STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI YANG CEPAT DAN RESPONSIF DI KLINIK BEKAMPKU
Abstract
Abstract: This study aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method in developing a digital-based information system at Bekampku Clinic, a traditional therapy clinic in Pekanbaru that previously relied on manual processes for patient records, therapy services, and administrative tasks. The research addresses efficiency challenges caused by data duplication, recording errors, and slow service processes. RAD was selected for its capability to produce rapid prototypes through iterative development involving direct user participation. The research involved six active staff members (therapists and administrative personnel) selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The system testing revealed significant improvements: service time was reduced by an average of 35%, data entry errors decreased by up to 80%, and administrative efficiency increased, as reflected in user feedback with an average satisfaction score of 4.5 out of 5. The system also accelerated patient data access and enhanced the accuracy and transparency of monthly reports. In conclusion, the implementation of the RAD method proved effective in building a responsive, efficient, and user-friendly clinical information system.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan efektivitas metode Rapid Application Development (RAD) dalam mengembangkan sistem informasi berbasis digital pada Klinik Bekampku, sebuah klinik terapi alternatif di Pekanbaru yang sebelumnya masih menggunakan proses manual dalam pencatatan pasien, layanan terapi, dan administrasi. Penelitian ini menjawab tantangan efisiensi layanan yang selama ini terkendala oleh duplikasi data, kesalahan pencatatan, dan lamanya proses pelayanan. Metode RAD dipilih karena kemampuannya menghasilkan prototipe secara cepat melalui pendekatan iteratif yang melibatkan pengguna langsung. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari enam staf aktif (terapis dan administrasi) yang dipilih secara purposif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan: waktu pelayanan berkurang rata-rata 35%, tingkat kesalahan pencatatan turun hingga 80%, dan efisiensi administrasi meningkat berdasarkan umpan balik pengguna dengan skor kepuasan rata-rata 4,5 dari 5. Sistem ini juga mempercepat akses data pasien serta mendukung transparansi dan akurasi laporan bulanan. Kesimpulannya, penerapan metode RAD terbukti efektif dalam membangun sistem informasi klinik yang responsif, efisien, dan mudah diadaptasi.
