AUTHORSHIP CRITERIA
Authorship Criteria - JPSTM
1. Introduction
JPSTM upholds transparency, accountability, and academic integrity in determining authorship for community service (PkM) scientific articles. All individuals listed as authors must meet the substantive criteria established by the journal.
2. Core Authorship Standards (ICMJE Guidelines)
An individual is entitled to be listed as an author in JPSTM manuscripts if they meet all four of the following criteria simultaneously:
- Substantial Contributions: Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, and interpretation of data or field PkM implementation.
- Drafting or Revising: Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content.
- Final Approval: Final approval of the version to be published.
- Accountability: Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
3. Non-Author Contributors
Individuals who contribute to the work but do not meet all four criteria above must not be listed as authors, but should instead be recognized in the Acknowledgment section. Examples include:
- Providing purely financial or administrative support.
- General technical or field assistance without involvement in analysis or drafting.
- General language editing without substantive content contribution.
4. Changes in Authorship
- Any addition, deletion, or rearrangement of author names must be made before the manuscript is accepted, and requires written approval from all listed authors.
- Requests for changes in authorship must be accompanied by a valid reason and approved by the JPSTM Editorial Board.
5. Corresponding Author
- Every manuscript must designate one Corresponding Author to act as the primary liaison between the author team and the journal's editorial board.
- The corresponding author is responsible for submitting the manuscript via the OJS system, managing communication during the review process, providing ethical compliance documentation, and ensuring all co-authors approve the final manuscript version.
