Abstract: The rapid development of sustainability issues has encouraged organizations to integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into their business strategies in a more systematic and measurable manner. This integration is not only aimed at complying with regulatory requirements but also at enhancing long-term corporate value and maintaining stakeholder trust. In this context, information systems play a crucial role as key enablers in managing the complexity of diverse and dynamic ESG data. With appropriate technological support, organizations can improve the quality of reporting while ensuring transparency and accountability in all business activities.
This study employs a literature review method with a qualitative approach to analyze the role of information systems in supporting sustainable strategies. The findings indicate that integrated information systems can enhance data accuracy, accelerate information processing, and support more precise and data-driven decision-making. Furthermore, the implementation of ESG information systems provides positive impacts, including operational efficiency, competitive advantage, and increased trust from investors and other stakeholders.
