SISTEM INFORMASI KOMODITAS HARGA PANGAN MENGGUNAKAN ALGORITMA SEQUENTIAL SEARCH BERBASIS WEB PADA PERUSAHAAN UMUM DAERAH PASAR KOTA PEKANBARU

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to design and develop a Web-Based Food Commodity Price Information System at the Regional Public Company (Perumda) Pasar Kota Pekanbaru to facilitate the management and dissemination of food price information to the public in a fast and accurate manner. The research employed the Waterfall development methodology, which consists of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The Sequential Search algorithm was implemented to optimize the process of searching commodity data based on user-entered keywords. The system was developed using PHP, MySQL, and Bootstrap to support web-based application development. The results indicate that the system is capable of managing commodity, category, market, and daily food price data in an integrated manner, providing an effective search feature that meets user requirements, and generating price information reports more efficiently than the previous manual process. Functional testing demonstrated that all major system features operated successfully. Therefore, the developed system improves the efficiency of food price data management, accelerates the dissemination of information, and enhances the transparency of commodity price information at Perumda Pasar Kota Pekanbaru.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan membangun Sistem Informasi Komoditas Harga Pangan Berbasis Web pada Perusahaan Umum Daerah (Perumda) Pasar Kota Pekanbaru untuk mempermudah pengelolaan dan penyampaian informasi harga pangan kepada masyarakat secara cepat dan akurat. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah metode Waterfall yang meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan sistem. Algoritma Sequential Search diterapkan untuk mempercepat proses pencarian data komoditas berdasarkan kata kunci yang dimasukkan pengguna. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan PHP, MySQL, dan Bootstrap sebagai pendukung antarmuka web. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mengelola data komoditas, kategori, pasar, serta harga pangan harian secara terintegrasi, menyediakan fitur pencarian data yang berjalan sesuai kebutuhan pengguna, dan menghasilkan laporan informasi harga dengan lebih efektif dibandingkan proses manual. Pengujian fungsional menunjukkan seluruh fitur utama berjalan dengan baik. Dengan demikian, sistem yang dibangun dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan data harga pangan, mempercepat penyampaian informasi, serta mendukung transparansi informasi komoditas pada Perumda Pasar Kota Pekanbaru.
