Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mediating role of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in the relationship between emotional intelligence and employee performance at the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK RI) Representative of Riau Province. A sample of 118 respondents was selected using simple random sampling based on the Krejcie and Morgan formula. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results show that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (t=2.471; p<0.05) and on OCB (t=21.310; p<0.05). Furthermore, OCB has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (t=10.811; p<0.05). The mediation analysis confirms that OCB acts as a significant mediating variable bridging the influence of emotional intelligence on employee performance (t=9.488; p<0.05). These findings demonstrate that increasing employees' emotional intelligence fosters Organizational Citizenship Behavior, which subsequently contributes significantly to optimizing employee performance.
