ANALISIS BAHASA GERAK DALAM DEBAT CALON GUBERNUR (STUDI SEMANTIK BAHASA INDONESIA)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi aspek komunikasi nonverbal wildly gesture pada Calon Gubernur Sumatera Utara 2013 – 2018. Komunikasi nonverbal dalam data menyampaikan emosi, perasaan, dan pesan masyarakat melalui tindakan ekspresif. Dengan menganalisis komunikasi nonverbal, masyarakat dapat memahami komunikasi nonverbal atau gerak tubuh dalam komunikasi sehari-hari dan memudahkan masyarakat untuk memahami pesan yang disampaikan terutama di depan publik dan membantu pembicara menyampaikan ide atau pendapat kepada khalayak. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian adalah debat publik di TV One Channel Calon Gubernur Sumatera Utara 2013 – 2018, dan sumber data adalah www.youtube.com. Data penelitian adalah lima calon gubernur pada pemilihan umum 2013 dalam waktu 240 menit. Gesture expression, ditemukan dalam pidato kelima kandidat dengan jumlah gesture terbanyak yang dilakukan oleh Ketua Harahap. Hasil penelitian adalah Ketua Harahap 21 gerak, Effendi Simbolon 18 gerak, Gus Irawan Pasaribu 16 gerak, Gatot Pujo Nugroho 12 Amri Tambunan hanya tiga gerak.
