Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Wayground learning media in improving the economic learning motivation of grade XI students at SMA Negeri 12 Medan. This research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving an experimental class and a control class. The experimental class was taught using Wayground learning media, while the control class used conventional learning methods supported by PowerPoint. Data were collected through observation and questionnaires using a Likert scale. The data were analyzed through validity, reliability, normality, homogeneity, and independent sample t-test. The results showed that all questionnaire items were valid, and the instrument was reliable with a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.770. The hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control classes. Therefore, Wayground learning media is effective in improving students’ economic learning motivation.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas media pembelajaran Wayground dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar ekonomi siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 12 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experiment yang melibatkan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan menggunakan media pembelajaran Wayground, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional berbantuan PowerPoint. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan angket dengan skala Likert. Teknik analisis data meliputi uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, homogenitas, dan independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh butir angket dinyatakan valid dan instrumen reliabel dengan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,770. Hasil uji hipotesis memperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran Wayground efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar ekonomi siswa.
